The Trima is another variation on the moving average theme. It derives its name from the weighting given to the prices used in its construction. For example, a 7 period trima has weighting factors of 1,2,3,4,3,2,1 applied to the most recent 7 prices.

Here is my template for the automated recognition of events within Alan’s box. You can see that I have somewhat pretentiously called it Box Magic. As set up here, it can be used “out of the box” (hehe) for any 48 bar chart such as YM chart 1.

Here is template to draw the initial balance lines and the double initial balance or DIB extension lines. The initial balance is used along with the price histogram or market profile. The initial balance or IB is usually the first 60 minutes on an intraday chart. The double IB extensions are used as support resistance lines and also targets.

here is a useful tool, that I havent seen posted elsewhere.

it is Stiedlmayer's opening range extensions. sometimes (fairly often), these extensions give impressive support and/or resistance. for good measure I also print the initial balance high and low.
