16:59 @Ensign_HA: they often want to measure moves of size 3.5 points, 5.4 points and 10 points. So this is a vertical measuring rod that is quick to point on the chart and will use different color for the added segment of the ruler.

17:00 @Ensign_HA: so the CD segment is drawing a blue line of length 3.50 points..... DE is drawing a line in red to the 5.4 point length, and EF is drawing the rest of the line to the 10 point distance. All distances are measured from the original starting point of the line, which is the 1st anchor point.
