Max number of bars - since this can be a drain on the CPU, suggest between 2000 and 5000. It can be adjusted for each chart in the chart properties window.

History is two days - just enough to tell you it is working and to right click and refresh for the amount you desire.

Intraday is set to today - This way your minute charts will be current if you lose your connection. Range,tick and volume charts will have to be refreshed once for all types.
