Where is the Missing Window even Though it is Listed in the "Window" List

This problem is fixed when the left most monitor is your primary monitor and the left most corner of Ensign is on it.

For now though, the window has created a scroll bar on the ensign workspace either horizontal or vertical. Use the scroll bar(s) to find the offending window usually EWchat or a scheduled message and drag it back to your normal workspace.

Then when convenient, change your primary monitor. The appearance should remain the same although you might have to drag your task bar to the monitor you are used to having it on.

17:58 makesownweather: Ensign Howard, I have recently discovered something about the Ensign software which has confused me (and some others) for months:

When some items in the Ensign SETUP or an existing chart is opened, Ensign software opens them up in an area off the screen and to the left. In other words, if I have Ensign stretched to fit my desktop and there are NO scroll bars on Ensign, the new SETUP or CHART is opened out of sight and off screen. With several monitors, one does not know that it opened up and one assumes that there is a problem and Ensign software needs to restarted unless the additional scroll bars are noticed. But, really, if the Ensign software could consider the existing layout without putting a new SETUP or CHART in an area off screen, it would be VERY helpful.

18:00 Ensign Howard: Makesown, go change your monitor configuration in the windows set up to have the primary monitor be the left most monitor. Then this location of where Windows™ is opening a chart should be resolved. The issue is a Windows behavior. Opening location is not controlled by Ensign. We can override the location if the option to reopen in a particular location is selected on chart properties, or a workspace is opening the windows. But in the default location opening you describe, the location is chosen by Windows, not by Ensign. The showing or not showing of scroll bars is wholly controlled by Windows as well.

18:02 makesownweather: OK. I will do that, but I do not understand anything else you said about the problem.....which is OK.

18:03 Ensign Howard: Go to the Start | Control Panel | Screens and change the configuration of your multiple monitors so the (top) left most monitor is identified as being the primary monitor.
