Another Way to Handle IB Reconnect Issue |

I found a temporary work around to the problem of TWS being interrupted
by a prompt for a new update. You know, the ones that keep Ensign from
auto logging back on in the middle of the night.
Using Windows Explorer: 13:42 pavoni: I found the folder called "Jts" on my C drive - that's the name of the TWS program 13:42 pavoni: within the Jts folder is a file called "UNWISE.EXE" - that's the executable file for the "check for updates" for TWS 13:44 pavoni: then I right clicked on the "UNWISE.EXE" file and deleted that file 13:44 pavoni: no problems at all since 13:45 pavoni: also, if I go to the IB home page and do a manual update, it will replace itself whenever I want to 13:47 pavoni: you see, Mary and I and a few others would not be able
to get Ensign to auto-log back on at night, even when we did as Howard
said and made sure we had the most current version of TWS - but this
way, problem is solved |
