Why my DYOs Change When applying a Tab
to Another Chart

Hi Howard,
You need two charts to see that the tab is not holding for the DYO when
applied to a range chart
1. open a 1064T and a 75R chart
2. apply the template to the 1064T
3. On the 1064T set tabs 9 for the up mof and tab 10 for the dn DYO
4. Then go to the 75 R and get new DYO study and try to apply either tab 9 or 10 to it. You will see the Trix gets in there along with some other changes.

Hi,

I followed your steps. The behavior is the way it is going to be.
On the DYO tab 9 and 10 that were saved, they lines that reference study values
and study flags have in the DYO structure the study ID numbers for when you
selected the studies from the drop down list. We store a unique number for each
study as it is created. This lets the DYO find the right study on the chart in spite
of there being more than one study with the same name, or you more the referenced
study position on the chart objects list.

Now when you try to apply tab 9 to a different chart, the tab 9 still has the study
IDs, but cannot find any such study on the new chart. Therefore the selection is
blank or at least different than when it was view on the chart with the template
that put on the referenced studies with the DYO.

The study ID might be a number like 3105, so the DYO is to read data from
study object number 3105. But when on the new chart, none of the studies on the
list match the 3105 ID, so the study to be referenced is not found.
