Getting Started with GVs and DYOs |
| DYOS (Design Your Own Study) and GV (Global Variables) DYOs and GVs are an extension of alerts, so let,s start with some examples of alerts in Ensign and see how easy they are to use. Components of an Alert: http://www.ensignsoftware.com/help/alertsstudies.htm Various Sample Alerts: www.ensignsoftware.com/tips/tradingtips59.htm GVs are nothing more than a place to store results of study values and/or alerts alerts for use by another study or alert. Additionally, GVs can be passed to another chart, for instance, Weekly Pivots Points onto an intraday chart. The following link is a great write-up on the basics of GVs. (There are now 255 GVs available rather than the original 100 referenced in the article.) www.ensignsoftware.com/help/globalvariables.htm
